Several celebrities adopt children from other countries and make them a part of their families. It is easy for them to bring up children in comforts and give them everything that they need. We keep hearing about the most popular actors and actresses of Hollywood adopting children from places like Africa and Asia.

Joely Fisher is one celebrity who has been added to the long list of celebrity moms to have adopted a child. She and her husband, Christopher Duddy, already have 2 kids, but they have adopted an African American baby girl.

Angelina Jolie tops the list when it comes to adoption by celebrity moms. There are several more like Madonna and Mia Farrow. Mia Farrow has 11 adopted children. Others include Diane Keaton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Calista Flockhart, Meg Ryan, Rosie O’Donell, Cheryl Crow, Sharon Stone, Donna Mills, Kate Jackson, and many more. Nicole Kidman has 2 kids, who were adopted whilst she and Tom Cruise were married.

Marie Osmond, who adopted a girl child, says that she often does not know who she adopted and whom she gave birth to because she always gets the same amount of love from both her kids. The recent addition to adoptive mom’s category is Katherine Heigl who announced on the Ellen Degenres Show that she was going to adopt a child from Korea along with her husband.

Most of the children adopted by Hollywood celebrities have been adopted form impoverished countries, and some of these children have special needs. Celebrities say that they do not differentiate between their biological kids and the adopted ones.

One can say that these Hollywood celebrities are trying to do their share of social work by providing a safe and secure haven for children, who otherwise would have grown up completely unloved and insecure.
